On saturday past saw the running of the Redhill 36k and 42k events. As usual this event proved its toughness again. Our athletes came out in numbers to try and secure a place a qualifier for Two Oceans marathon. Some went there to do a training run.
In the end Gugs some of our members were called to the podium like Zama Vetvoet and we also had a team prize(Luntu,Mandla,Zama & Alex).
To everyone We say well done.

You know since I started running my dream is always to see more women folk on the road. I know running has been deemed a man’s sport. To that I say no. If I look around in all the race events that are taking place within our country the only time I see a large contigency of women is when there is a walking event. I know walking is some sort of exercise but there are limited numbers of these events.
My ideal situation is seeing women coming out in numbers …
