Well soweto marathon took place on the 1st November. As usual this race did not fail to live up to its expectation. It makes CT marathon looks like a child’s play. The atmosphere, the number of people and the weather all made this an enjoyable race.

Like last year the ladies turn out was amazing. You know as someone who would like to see running being taken up more so by our black sisters, I tell you the ladies out there seem to be at a league of its own. Big mamas, young ladies and junior ladies all come out on this day. I am not sure they are there to impress but,  if they are doing just that then they sure do it in style.

Coming to my province and i send out a challenge for you to be serious about running. Now that I come to think about it how many black ladies from this province do actually take part in the Two Oceans ultra?  Well in the same spirit i would like to commend everyone who made that trip there. I sure hope the same race will be even bigger next year. I am bit worried though now that Nedbank has pulled out what will the future hold.
