RCS GUGULETU ATHLETICS CLUB INCENTIVE SCHEME – 2009
The RCS Gugs club Incentive Scheme for 2009 is based on a thorough examination
of the race calendar for the year ahead. Races have been categorised according to factors such
as visibility and prestige. There incentives are for all age categories also.
The onus is on the athlete to make him or herself familiar with the scheme.
Our ideal is to see Gugs athletes performing well at the bigger, more prestigious events. We would
like to see our athletes target and achieve of their best at these events where the Gugs Club
name can be visible to many and will hence bring honour to the club.
Please note that this only applies to races that falls under WPA

ROAD RUNNING
ALL CATEGORIES

All League races qualify for the following incentives if a member is positioned overall at races:

GENERAL CONDITIONS
1. The Scheme is applicable from 1 January 2009.
2. The scheme is limited to members of RCS Guguletu Athletic club in good standing with the Club
3. Athletes must compete in RCS Gugs colours, except where provincial or national
colours apply.
4. All claims must be submitted in writing to the Club Captain within TWO Months of
the event. The onus is on the athlete to submit the claims.
5. Payment of incentives is subject to the availability of funds. If claims exceed the funds
available, payment will be adjusted on a pro rata basis.
6. The scheme is open for review by the Club Committee if and when deemed appropriate
by a majority of the said Committee.
7. The scheme is inextricably linked to the availability of funds which funds are in turn dependent on income
from the club sponsor, RCS Guguletu Athletic Club. The club thus retains the right to adjust, amend or terminate the scheme
at any time should finances become a problem or the terms of the sponsorship be amended in such a way
as to make payments of incentives a burden on club funds.
